DIANA HUTTON

Diana Hutton is a bilingual and bicultural licensed attorney from Mexico, with a Masters degree (LLM) in Business Law from the University of Minnesota. 

 

Ms. Hutton obtained her Bachelor of Law degree from the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM), one of the most prestigious universities in Mexico. For over ten years, she served as in-house counsel for both private and public companies providing sound legal advice in a broad range of general corporate matters with both domestic and international dimensions. 

 

Ms. Hutton has extensive experience drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial arrangements, and she has successfully worked in strategic transactions, including conducting due diligence assessments in connection with mergers and acquisitions and capital markets transactions.  Furthermore, Ms. Hutton has experience providing legal analysis and counsel on various issues, including but not limited to corporate law, intellectual property, employment, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, data privacy, competition law, anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws, compliance of rules and regulations, risk detection and risk control, among others.

 

Ms. Hutton has a strong substantive knowledge of both Mexican and U.S. law. Additionally, she is fluent in both Spanish and English and possess intimate familiarity with Latin and American culture, which paired with her strong substantive knowledge of both Mexican and U.S. contract, real estate and corporate law in general, allows her to understand the nuances of doing business in the United States and Latin America. 

 

Ms. Hutton also understands Mexican tribunals in-depth, which can give any American company or business person a greater opportunity to prevail in any negotiation, litigation or conflict that may arise. Ms. Hutton’s skills enhance her ability to assist in handling a broad range of aspects of cross- border legal issues, and allow her to identify and offer creative and effective solutions to the myriad legal problems diversification inevitably generates.

 

Ms. Hutton has served as a legal expert for Telemundo on a variety of topics regarding high profile cases.

Ms. Hutton is also a qualified neutral under rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice, offering mediation services in both English and Spanish.
